A community barn raising
Help us keep from losing our home.
This is our story, where things stand today, and how you can help. Think of it as an old-fashioned barn raising, with neighbors near and far.
- Latah, near Spokane
- A private family home
- Every kind of help counts
Four ways in
You do not need money to be part of this.
Neighbors, churches, tradespeople, and people helping from far away are all welcome. Pick whatever fits your day.

Already a community place
A gift shop for local families
We open the schoolhouse as a Christmas gift shop. The gifts are free. They come from community donations, and local families come in and pick out a gift for their own family.
Where things stand
Honest status, in plain words.
Latest update
The roof is open and the repair is under way, and there is more to do than we can carry alone. We need an electrician, help with drywall, guidance from someone who understands construction law, and people willing to help organize.
Next milestone
Waiting for an answer
The next confirmed milestone is getting the roof framed and weather-tight. We will post a date here only once it is confirmed. No completion date is promised.

Our story
The schoolhouse is our home.
Heidi and I live in the old schoolhouse in Latah. It is also where we run ImpactMe.AI. We are asking our community to help us keep from losing it, and we will tell you plainly what we know and what we do not.
